Today's recipe is sweet dessert, made with sweet potato!!
In Korea we call that "goguma mattang". It looks like a shiny candy! And~~~!!!! SWEET :)
I'm on a diet now B! U! T! I can’t stop thinking about that I really want to have some mattang RIGHT NOW!! :D If you try the flavor of the Mattang, you will fall in love with it. I can assure you.
Ok~ here it goes!!
* Ingredients : 1 pound of Korean sweet potato, vegetable oil, sugar, , starch syrup, black sesame seeds
(How to cook)
1. Rinse sweet potato, trim off stem ends and peel them.
2. Slice it into chunks that look like smooth-edged triangles.
3. Place in glass dish and microwave for 5 minutes on high.
4. Put 5 cups of vegetable oil into a wok or frying pan and heat it up.
5. Fry the chunks of the the sweet potato over medium high heat for about 6-8 minutes until golden brown.
6. Make coating syrup:
In a pan, add 3 tbs vegetable oil with 3 tbs white sugar and 1 tbs starch syrup.
7. Heat just until sugar is dissolved.
8. Add the fried sweet potato to the syrup in the pan.
Ok done~ Let's eat!! :)
